At Pro Epic we use a lot of on-line accounts. Web sites, hosting accounts, FTP accounts, merchant accounts, software vendors; the list seems to go on forever. Managing all of those user names, passwords and challenge/responses became a huge task.

At first, like most people, we used one or two passwords and user names for everything. The problem with that tactic should be obvious to everyone.
